TechnoMagicLand leaves a bright mark in the third edition of the festival 'Hello, Space! Bulgaria Calling 3.0'

The interactive center for science and technology, TechnoMagicLand, left a bright mark at the scientific festival "Hello, Space! Bulgaria Calling 3.0," which took place on June 29th at Sofia Tech Park for the third consecutive year.

The event's guests had the opportunity to choose between scientific lectures, demonstrations, and workshops that allowed them to experience modern technologies applicable in space. This was made possible through the joint efforts of the STEM cluster, coordinated by the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria, in partnership with the United States Embassy in Bulgaria.

The TechnoMagicLand contact points made a strong impression during the festival, including:

- The rocket fuel laboratory presented by Dr. Martin Nedialkov, which featured interesting scientific experiments demonstrating intriguing facts and details about rocket fuel technologies and other chemical mixtures with fascinating properties.
- The space-themed quiz, conducted twice, using innovative methods to test knowledge about space and celestial objects. It was presented by Kalina Dimitrova and prepared in advance by Angel Dimitrov.
- The promotional booth for the "Future Engineers Workshop," presented by engineer Valeri Fesenko and Aleksey Potebnya, who introduced the latest idea for an engineering workshop focused on invention and prototyping, aiming to generate great ideas.

Throughout the day, the center's exhibition welcomed groups of students and individual visitors who chose to expand and enhance their festival experience with interactive engagement in a cool and educational atmosphere. Pre-planned student groups took full advantage of the center's offerings in the final days leading up to the festival. Physicist Kaloyan Genkov and expert in working with organized student groups, Mrs. Kristina Atanasova, were available to all guests curious to explore the territory.

Hours before the festival began, the students from "Edin Laf Vreme" (@edinlafvreme) - Karnobat, set up their studio in the Logic Hall, where they recorded a special episode of their podcast dedicated to the event.

This festival is particularly exciting for TechnoMagicLand. The collaboration between the Bulgarian software company TechnoLogica and Sofia Tech Park was one of the first organizations to support and participate in the creation of the scientific festival in 2021. The idea for the festival itself was inspired by the cause of the "Territory of Curious Minds" to ignite interest in science and technology. The team of the interactive center for science and technology shared their experience, knowledge, and skills accumulated in the country's first STEM center to conduct a contest with questions related to the International Space Station. They supported the initiative by hosting all the meetings for shaping the idea. They also shared and demonstrated their ideas for organizing and conducting volunteer activities for the event, as they have done for three years by organizing and coordinating the work of volunteers.

This year's edition of the festival marked unprecedented success. Within a single day, the event was attended by over 1,500 people. On the "Mars" and "Moon" stages in the innovative forum "John Atanassov," more than 15 highly authoritative speakers presented, including Dr. Swati Mohan, an aerospace engineer from NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and scientists from CERN who took the guests on a virtual tour of CERN, the place where some of the most interesting physical experiments and discoveries in the world take place. Both the attendees on-site and those who participated online had the opportunity to listen to inspiring speeches and gain new knowledge from Bulgarian and international leaders in the field of science and technology, such as Prof. Hristo Pimpirev, Prof. Milena Georgieva, Assoc. Bozhilov, Assoc. Zhelev, Captain Nikolay Kalaydzhiev, and many others.

On the stages, there were also lesser-known but

highly promising individuals with enormous potential, such as students from "Alexander Georgiev-Kodzhakafaliyata" Primary School in Burgas, who explore the connection between space and robotics in their STEAM subjects through "Space Exploration."

Various competitions were held during the festival, recognizing the most original and interesting questions posed by children to scientists.
